So what would you want to know?

This site is dedicated to my creation, the Mardibra. He's is probably fictional, i am probably not.
I have a regular job, a home, a partner, a dog, friends and all the other things people have.
I live in the south of England, somewhere nice and quiet where these days i can write in peace.
When i'm not unleashing my unusually shaped imagination upon the page, i'm generally doing very ordinary things. I have never ruled the universe, although i have read a very large number of books. I have never met the alphayetti but i have walked my dog many a mile.
I have been shaped by lots of ups and downs, many of them my own making, a few of them not. Mostly though i have been shaped by the idea that i own my ups and my downs and both of them make me who i am.
Both the ups and the downs inform my writing, but at least nowadays the downs don't control it.
I started writing in the first year of my A levels. Firstly it was page long false histories of teachers. Former KGB spies, fishmen, cornish tin worms who wanted to find the big time, that sort of thing. I also reworte the Bible. That was my first big idea. The Bible according to the Mardibra.
Sadly none of that early stuff exists anymore. It is the one big feature of my wirting that i have lost far more of it than i ever kept. I'm not a very organised person.
Gradually the writing progressed during my two years in sixth form college but by the end the downs had gripped me and the writing became a negative thing... it took a long time for it to escape from that.
Now though the writing is a positive. Something to enjoy, something to fill the happy times that now fill my life. In that way, i'm very lucky.
So where did the name Mardibra come from? Nowhere special. It was inspired by an immature sense of humour and an interest in the Mardi Gras series of bombings in the mid nineties. Like i said, nothing special, but it does seem to have stuck with me.
This site is now an attempt to give The Mardibra the home he probably deserves. Somewhere he can't get lost, thrown away or just simply forgotten about. Hopefully somewhere a wider number of people can enjoy him...
Did i say, he was a creation, maybe he's an alter ego...
I don't hope anyone finds anyone any great merit in my writing, they don't deserve it. I do hope, though, that you find a bit of escapism in them...
After all, what is life without dreams?
